Lesson in layering

I´ve talked about how much I enjoy layering and how I find it interesting to see how people do it differently. Maybe I shouldn´t have named this post ´´lesson in layering´´ because when I think about it, there´s really no way to teach someone how to do it. You just have to follow your gut. Or do as I do and just pile everything on top of everything. I´ve been finding that the more ridiculous I think some pieces are going to look together, the more they work! You just have to try and keep an open mind. Escpecially when the weather starts getting cold. In this look I started off with a simple dress and a long seethrough vest over it ( I know, I just love them!). Then I put a hooded mensvest over that, you know to have something shorter in contrast. Then I put a vintage sequin vest over that to add something sparkly versus the sporty feel of the vest and last but not least a wool jacket over everything to finish off the look. Actually no, the warm hat did that I think.

It´s all about contrast. Sequins versus sporty, seethrough versus wool..You get where I´m going. Oh but lets not forget about layering of the jewellery. In that last picture you can see a close up of what I wore around my neck. It´s actually three necklaces, piled on. Hmmm, I guess I started rambling on and on again..Well, hope you got inspired to start piling shit on!

More is more I tell ´ya.

P.S. That´s NOT a magic mushrom I´m biting into.
