Usually the one who delivers, I must say I´m a little disapointed here. There are some very solid pieces here and there and the bags are undeniably brilliant but overall I found there was something missing. It was a little like the designer was out of ideas and therefore decided to make rather weird shoes to destract us from the fact that the clothes are only lala. I did however like the twisting factor on some of the shirts and she also gets kudos for the frayed hems. I think my favourites in this collection are the white long coat and the white dress with the mesh. Very raw- I like it. Sorry to say though in general it didn´t make my heart race like Céline usually does.

 

P.S I wasn´t kidding about the shoes! I´m I just totally off and judgemental for finding them just plain unwearable? And dare I say not so pretty..

Haider Ackermann

And that´s how it´s done! Ackermann is pure genius in my opinion. Just look at all that intricate work, both in the tayloring and color palette..also excellent styling here going on. He has fast become one of my favourite designer, always outdoing himself. On another matter: Look at the shoes! I want!! Well I wouldn´t mind everything that is here above. I love Paris-only genius there!

Yumm

Just a few things I find inspiring at the moment. I love the androgynous look, the oversized coats, loafers.. It´s everything I want to be wearing right now. Yumm!

Balmain

Continuing with the 80´s vibe that is for fall, Balmain gives us here..well something a little predictable in my opinion. Don´t get me wrong, I love shoulderpads and everything oversized but somehow overall this didn´t cut it for me. Maybe it´s because I´m really getting sick of all the fuzz in clothes, wanting something simpler. Anyways, some very cool pieces none the less- like the yellow suit and overall here above. Am also digging the stripes. I don´t know, maybe this is a collection I have to come back to later. Sometimes things take time to grow on me. What do you think?

Mugler

 

 

Ahh Mugler. I don´t mean this in a bad way when I say: it´s like a continuum of Balenciagas´ fall collection. But then again Mugler has always been on the galaxy side of life, if you know what I mean. I love this. They really go their own way here. All the exaggerated silhouettes, shiny, plasticky looking leather- this is what I would wear when entering a spaceship. Excellent! Oh and that blue overall in photo nr: 2; I WANT!!

Balenciaga

 

 

Quirky lady indeed. Genius! This collection is truly artful. Beautifully crafted and makes one think. From flamenco-style ruffled skirts to boxy tweed shirts ( haha rhymes!), who knew lady-like could be so fine? There are so many details here I can´t begin to comment. From the first part of the show with all the brilliantly cut ruffled skirts and dresses, the looks were all very unique-every one of them different from the other. I think here it´s best to let the collection speak for itself.
